Reverend Charles Smith

Assistant Pastor, Prison Ministry

“How do we feel the loving touch of God? We feel the loving touch of God through God’s people. Love should be the ‘Trade-Mark’ of a Christian.”

I am Assistant Pastor Charles Smith, also known as Pastor Chuck. I am the Director of the Prison Ministry at Victory Apostolic Church. My wife Barbara and I have served in prison ministry for over 27 years. Jail and prison ministry is my passion and my calling.

I have been a member of Victory Apostolic for ten years under the leadership of Senior Pastor Andrew D. Singleton Jr., church founder. I am a member of Victory Apostolic Ministerial Alliance and was ordained at Victory Apostolic, June 24, 2010, by Pastor Singleton.

All of my life, I have had a love for music. I played drums professionally for many years. I was also a radio and store promoter for gospel music with I AM Records.

After my call to the ministry, I completed two years of ministerial classes through Aenon Bible College. I also took classes at Moody Bible Institute and ministerial classes at Malcom X College.

My wife and I have served with a Street Ministry team, sharing the gospel of Christ. We were also served as Youth Minister Leaders.

I, along with my grandchildren and wife have performed with puppets at churches, schools and nursing homes. We enjoyed serving as puppeteers with our grandchildren.

I am blessed to be married to my lovely wife for 33 years, who has faithfully served in ministry with me. We have five children, 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. And I love them all. I am truly blessed.
