Praise The Lord!

My name is Minister Charlese Allen I serve as the Minister of Music at Victory Apostolic Church.  I was born in Chicago Illinois however, I have lived in other parts of the country due to my father’s service in the military and my mother’s work for the government.  When my family and I returned to Chicago, I was connected to Victory at eleven years old and have been serving at Victory in the music department ever since.

God has blessed me with many gifts but music has been a part of my life since I was born.  I have been singing all of my life and have been active in the Worship Art departments since I was 5 years old.  I grew up with a family full of musicians, singers, dancers, writers, and producers. Also, I have traveled across the country and oversees singing and have been blessed to share the same stage and/or sing with artist such as Tye Tribbett, Fred Hammond, Kierra Sheard, Mary Mary, CeCe Winans, and Psalmist Raine, just to name a few.

My educational background includes; a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration minor in Accounting, a Master’s degree in Psychology, and a Master’s degree in Counseling.   It was in undergrad I studied music further by taking courses such as music theory, voice training, sight music, and piano.

I am very focused on leading the music ministry to understand that the sounds we release into the atmosphere is important and we must align with God’s dream and His vision for Victory. It is our desire that the worship experience brings God delight as we honor him with our praise and worship.

Spending time with my family is my greatest love.  My loving husband Jeremy Allen, my daughter Jayla, and my son Jeremy Jr. are my heartbeats and I am grateful to God for them.  In our spare time, we love to go on family vacations, bowling, singing, swimming,  taking trips to downtown Chicago and spending time with our family and friends.
