My name is Jarell Smith and I am the Youth Director at Victory Apostolic Church! In the words of Ralph Waldo Emerson, “Passion rebuilds the world for the youth. It makes all things alive and significant.” I enjoy using my gifts and skills to help build the next generation of young people to be leaders of our community. My family and I have been members of Victory since 2007 and in January 2009 I accepted Christ as my personal Savior. I have been connected to Victory since the age of 12 and have been involved in church my entire life.
My service in ministry began in 2016 working with young men in our mentoring program Young Men of Valor (formerly known as Abba Father Ministry), and has continued since. In July of 2018, I became the director of this ministry.
My educational experience includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology; I also hold a PEL (Professional Educator License). I will soon complete a Masters in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis on Family Therapy. My current spiritual charge is to focus on rebuilding family values and establishing the spiritual foundation for healthy family relationships. As a mentor, football coach, teacher, preacher and educator I am so determined to be the light in the world for the glory of God!
In my free time I am either working on creating podcast content or writing and publishing books. In March of 2023 I married my beautiful wife and high school sweetheart, D’Anna Smith. She gets all of my love and most of my attention. Every day I strive to live my life by these words; do it with passion or don’t do it at all.
